GENERAL SUPPORT
LiftGrips wrap around the bar to create a more secure connection between your hands and the weight. This helps reduce how much your grip limits pulling exercises, so you can keep more of the focus on the muscles you are training.
Fasten the wrist support so it feels secure, with the grip section resting across your palm and extending toward your fingers. Wrap the grip material around the bar in the same direction your fingers close, then hold the bar firmly before beginning your set.
The textured gripping surface should make direct contact with the bar, while the more comfortable side rests against your hand. The extended section should sit across your palm so you can roll it around the bar before closing your grip.
LiftGrips are most useful for pulling exercises where your hands fatigue before the target muscles. This includes rows, lat pulldowns, pull-ups, deadlifts, Romanian deadlifts, shrugs and heavy machine pulls.
They are generally less useful for pressing exercises or movements where grip strength is not limiting your performance.
They serve a similar purpose, but the setup and gripping surface are different. Traditional straps usually require more threading and wrapping around the bar, while LiftGrips use a wider surface designed to wrap and release more quickly.
Both can support demanding pulls, but LiftGrips provide a more straightforward setup for many lifters.
Yes. LiftGrips can be used for deadlifts, Romanian deadlifts and similar heavy pulling movements when grip fatigue is limiting the set.
Make sure they are wrapped securely before lifting, and practise setting up and releasing them with lighter weight before using them for heavier sets.
Wipe the grip and wrist sections with a damp cloth and mild soap after use. Remove any soap residue and allow them to air-dry completely before placing them back in your gym bag.
Avoid bleach, harsh cleaners, high heat and machine drying unless the included care instructions specifically allow them.
