Questions Before Your First Session?
FAQs
Getting Started
What is JawFlex?
JawFlex is a progressive-resistance jaw-training system designed for controlled bite-and-release routines. It provides multiple resistance levels so you can begin at a manageable starting point and progress gradually.
JawFlex is a training tool—not a medical or dental treatment.
What comes in the Complete Kit?
The Complete Kit includes:
- 35 lb starting level
- 45 lb intermediate level
- 55 lb advanced level
- 65 lb highest level
- Compact carry case
Every resistance level is included from the beginning, so your next level is ready when you are.
Which level should I start with?
Begin with the 35 lb level or the lightest resistance you can use smoothly without forcing the movement.
Focus on slow, controlled repetitions before increasing resistance. Starting heavier does not automatically produce better results.
How should I position it?
Position JawFlex as demonstrated between your back teeth. Make sure it sits evenly and feels secure before beginning.
Bite down slowly, then release with the same level of control. Stop and reposition it if you feel pinching, uneven pressure or discomfort.
FAQs
Routine & Progression
How long should a session be?
Begin with a brief session and a small number of controlled repetitions. Prioritize smooth movement rather than session length or speed.
Avoid aggressive biting, extended sessions and increasing multiple training variables at once.
How often should I use it?
Start conservatively and follow the routine in the JawFlex How-To Guide. Allow enough recovery time for your jaw to feel comfortable before the next session.
Do not increase frequency while soreness or discomfort is still present
When should I increase resistance?
Move up only when your current level feels consistently manageable and every repetition remains smooth and controlled.
Do not increase resistance if you are forcing the movement, losing control or experiencing discomfort.
Do I need to reach the 65 lb level?
No. The 65 lb level is not a required goal.
Use the resistance that allows you to train comfortably and with control. Some users may remain at a lower level based on their starting point, comfort and individual routine.
FAQs
Comfort & Safety
Is soreness normal?
Mild, temporary muscle fatigue may occur when beginning a new resistance routine. However, pain, jaw locking, painful clicking, numbness or persistent discomfort should not be ignored.
Stop using JawFlex if symptoms occur rather than trying to train through them.
What should I do if it hurts?
Stop using JawFlex immediately if it causes pain. Do not continue the session or increase resistance.
Speak with a dentist or healthcare professional if pain persists or if you experience jaw locking, painful clicking, restricted movement or an unusual change in your bite.
Can I use it with dental work or jaw concerns?
Speak with your dentist before use if you have braces, retainers, implants, dentures, recent dental work or ongoing jaw concerns.
Do not begin without professional guidance if you experience jaw pain, locking, restricted movement or painful clicking.
Does JawFlex guarantee visible results?
No. JawFlex does not guarantee a specific cosmetic result.
Individual experiences vary based on factors such as anatomy, body composition, consistency, starting point and how the product is used.
